Chicago at Houston

Houston obviously needs this game more than Chicago as it fights for a Wild Card spot and the Astros have won 26 of their last 38 interleague games. Collin McHugh has won his last two decisions and good run support has enabled the Astros to win his last four starts. McHugh has pitched much better at home where he has a 3.89 ERA this season and Houston has won his last six interleague starts. One weakness for the Cubs is their 16-35 interleague record in road games against winning teams dating to last season. Also, the Cubs have lost 10 of their last 13 overall on the road against teams with winning records. John Lackey was limited to five innings in his last outing against San Francisco after the Cubs rested him for a few weeks. This is a good spot for the home underdog, so play the Astros.
