Chicago at Detroit

The Chicago Bears have played three straight OVERS. It's no surprise as so far the offense has been better than advertised, while the defense appears to this point to have taken a step back from a year ago. Detroit has played three consecutive games where they scored and allowed 20 points or more. So, on the surface this looks like an easy OVER. The difference here is that this is a division game, where teams tend to know each others tendencies, as they see each other twice a year. The games tend to play more intensely, which usually equates to stronger defensive efforts. The last three years in this series, covering six games, the total points scored average is below 40. In their last eight division games, Chicago has seen the UNDER prevail in six, and I think the defenses have more to say in the outcome here. Play the UNDER to what is a slightly inflated total.
