Over the last three years, the Midwestern Athletic Conference has been all about Northern Illinois. The Huskies go for their third straight MAC title at Ford Field in Detroit against Bowling Green tonight. Bowling Green brought back a lot of players from a successful season last year, and has allowed just 17 points over the last four weeks of the season. That may look impressive on paper, but it is totally a non-predictive factor as teams that have allowed less than 18 points in their last four games are just 27-30-1 ATS. Contending with QB Jordan Lynch is a whole other matter for the Falcons. Lynch has accounted for 42 TDs himself this season, running and throwing. He's been a true dual threat with 22 touchdowns through the air and 20 on the ground, making it very difficult on opposing defenses. You might compare the Bowling Green defense to that of Kent State from a year ago, and Northern Illinois hung a 44 on the Flashes. In that game, Lynch accounted for four TDs, and I believe that another similar performance is on tap. Northern Illinois is 24-9-2 ATS in their last 35 conference games, and get another MAC title. Play on Northern Illinois.
