WIN

It's tough to back the fading, dysfunctional and unhappy Red Sox, especially on the road. The Red Sox are on a 4-13 run and are 18-40 in their last 58 games as an underdog as well as 17-35 against a right-handed starter. Toronto has the better starter here, a tough righty in Brandon Morrow (8-6, 3.16 ERA) facing a depleted Boston lineup. He's an excellent strikeout pitcher with 89 Ks in 99+ innings. The Blue Jays are 16-5 in Morrow's last 21 starts with four days of rest and 9-4 in Morrow's last 13 starts as a favorite. Boston lefty Jon Lester used to be an ace, but not in this lifeless season (9-11, 4.99 ERA). The Red Sox are 4-10 in Lester's last 14 starts against the American League East and this season against Toronto he is 1-2 with an 8.53 ERA. Head to head, the Red Sox are 2-6 in the last eight meetings with Toronto. Play the Blue Jays.
