Boston at Toronto

Boston had won three straight before the last two games of its series with Baltimore. The Red Sox enjoyed a needed day off on Monday after playing 17 consecutive days, and they're hoping the rest will do some good as they go up against Toronto. Chase Anderson starts for the Blue Jays, and he gave up a run in three innings against the Red Sox on Aug. 8. Toronto has lost four of its last five games against teams with .400 or worse winning percentages, and the Blue Jays are only a small favorite in this matchup despite being six games better in the standings than Boston.
