Boston at Seattle

The Red Sox have lost seven of ten games and now sit 5.5 games back of the Yankees in the AL East. David Wells has been average for them this year but he's historically struggled against the Mariners. Gil Meche has struggled of late but he's still got a 6-4 home record with a 3.58 ERA. He's 3-1 vs. the Red Sox and 16-9 the past three seasons vs. very good teams (54%+ record). Seattle is 3-1 in games in the Northwest in this series this year. Boston is managing just 3.0 runs per game over their past seven games. Ever since the devastating sweep at the hands of the Yankees, the Sox just don't seem to have "it" right now. Seattle here.
