Top pick: #6 (BEAUTIFUL SPIRIT) (7-2) - Well-backed when debuting at Santa Anita at this tag April 14th, filly was off "slowly," rushed up to chase a solid pace, and weakened late to finish third. Freshened up since by Bob Troeger, she meets a pretty weak field annd can take this with a "clean" getaway.
2nd pick: #1 (Coco De Carchy) (6-1) - Filly tired while racing wide when debuting in a turf sprint here May 19th when facing tougher. Trainer Doug O'Neill drops her way down and switches her from the grass to the "all weather." Win candidate.
3rd pick: #15 (Rich in Tradition) (10-1) - Filly draws very difficult outside post but does have enough positional speed to not let it hurt that much. Longshot can be a factor as long as her rider is patient.
4th pick: #4 (Play Misty for Us) (8-1) - Price play rallied to finish fourth at this tag at Santa Anita on April 14th in her first since late Jan of 2012. She followed that up with a terrible start here on May 16th in an effort best viewed as a "toss". Dangerous in this spot.
5th pick: #2 (Hello Stormy) (15-1) - She's had 10 starts and has only cracked the exacta once. Blinkers go on and 4-year-old has a trio of sharp works on view since an even effort on May 4th.
