Top pick: #1 (MARKET NOTES) (5-2) - The Probable favorite, he's gone 4-0-2-2 so far and comes off a career best when he finished second at this level on Oct. 27 at Santa Anita. Colt handled a similar surface at Del Mar Aug. 22, retains Bejarano, and speed/stalker breaks from the raiil.
2nd pick: #12 (Capo) (6-1) - Freshened up since Oct. 12, colt has raced evenly in his first pair, one each on dirt 7 "poly." The O'Neill barn has him working fast for his return and son of "Street Boss" can factor at a nice price.
3rd pick: #11 (Znelle) (6-1) - Gelding tired badly after chasing the pace on Oct. 27 at Santa Anita and finished 12 lengths back of "Notes." Working nicely since and he could impact at long odds.
4th pick: #7 (Short Sword) (8-1) - He took some betting action when debuting in late July at Del Mar and raced both evenly and wide while finishing 5th of 8, beaten 5 lengths running at this tag. Trainer Mike Mitchell (20% second time out) has worked him a half-dozen times since Oct. 12 and this gelding moves off the rail today.
