Top pick: #7 (THUNDER COLE) (3-1) - He's been competitive in four straight, and has had excuses in his last pair. Gelding has Bejarano aboard for the first time, and can take this with a "clean" trip.
2nd pick: #8 (Wings of Mojave) (9-2) - Lightly raced, he rallied from far back to finish second last out, and was a 1/2 length better than "Cole." Stretch threat again in this spot.
3rd pick: #5 (Gentleman Pete) (12-1) - He's had a lot of chances, and has gone 10-0-1-4 on the grass. Fits on "figures," but needs to do better late.
4th pick: #4 (Little Unusual) (20-1) - He's also had a lot of attempts, but moves from "poly" to grass and can grab a share of this at a huge price.
5th pick: #1 (Elusive Journey) (12-1) - Speedy sort has the rail and ships down from Golden Gate Fields off a good effort on Nov. 1st. He runs third back off a 2 1/2 month break, and he's done well here in the past (5-0-2-2).
