Top pick: #7 (MY PAL ARIANA) (5-2) - Filly ships back from Golden Gate Fields where she finished third of 9, beaten 5 lengths racing at this level and distance on the turf. daughter of "Aragorn" chased and finished 4th here on the all weather in her previous start and it's nice to see Bejarano aboard for the first time.
2nd pick: #5 (Taffeta Disaster) (3-1) - Lightly-raced filly ships back from Golden Gate where she raced evenly while not threatening facing special weights racing on the grass on June 15th. Race was her first off a Pete Miller claim and a subsequent seven week freshening. She's worked above average here since and will go grass to "poly" and drop back down the the claimed price.
3rd pick: #3 (Magic Maya) (8-1) - Stretch out sprinter does so with blinkers off. Stronach home-bred has taken action in three of her five starts and is making back-to-back appearances for the first time since last fall.
4th pick: #1 (Bas) (5-1) - One-paced type has some speed, draws the rail, and is stretching out for the first time since late Oct. She should be involved turning for home, but needs to stay on a bit stronger from that point on.
