Top pick: #8 (SECRET MEMO) (5-2) - Freshened up since late Nov., filly has plenty of early speed and is working well locally for her comebacker. Her trainer (Pete Miller) is having a strong meet and wins at a solid 26% clip off of long layoffs.
2nd pick: #14 (Rockin Hard Gals) (7-2) - She draws a tough outside post for this attempt, but rallied to finish second here at this level and distance on May 27th in her first start in three months. Race was her best to date and a repeat of it makes her a threat.
3rd pick: #12 (Kandra) (5-2) - Debuting fily from the O'Neill barn is working steadily and many of the AM moves are better than average. Tough if ready.
4th pick: #3 (Big G Secret Crab) (5-1) - Filly showed some speed in her debut and held until mid-stretch when she tired to finish sixth. Useful first outing, but will face outside pace pressure today and will need to do better.
5th pick: #10 (Royal Weekend) (4-1) - Fast and fragile, she has early speed and drops to a new low in her second back from a 12 1/2 month layoff. Working fine and she finished a distant 3rd in her return run at Santa Anita on April 12th. Dangerous if she clears early.
