(# 3) ROCKET LEGS - You always like to see horses that raced at two-years-old and then were freshened, come back with a considerably higher speed figure first time out at three. This Pletcher runner ran very well from the intimidating inside post in the one-turn mile on the turf at Belmont in seasonal debut, increasing his speed figure almost 25%. Has had a month to recover and the trio of subsequent works at Saratoga, are excellent.

(# 7) Seastate - He makes first start outside of California today. He's had the misfortune of running into some pretty tough horses in his career, which is one reason he is still winless after 13 starts. Has run well in some grass sprints on the coast and that should transfer well into this one-turn mile.

(# 6) General Ryan - Improved when sent to the turf in last start by Mark Hennig. Blinkers were also added, and horse's speed increased with them. Nice four-furlong breeze at Belmont on May 27, indicates that the race didn't take a lot out of him.

(# 9) Jimmy G. - Son of Forest Camp tries grass for the initial time, and does so stretching out in distance off of two sprints. Has been freshened by trainer Rick Violette and has been training at Saratoga. Violette fits well in all the pertinent categories for the move.
