(# 3) FOREST JAZZ - Huge maiden-breaking figure on view one that no doubt induced the switch over to the Mott barn. Filly debuted at River Downs, but her breeding is strictly first class. Has turf written all over it and we'll see more of what she's all about today.

(# 11) Now More Than Ever - She's 4-for-6 over this grass course - representing all of her lifetime wins. I thought she looked very good in last and she was claimed by Diane Balsamo off that win. May prove to be an astute buy.

(# 7) Albany County - Professional grass sprinter gets to try an extra furlong today as this track is the only one on the Eastern Seaboard that can run six-furlong grass events. Almost all run five or 5.5-furlong turf races and six should aid this horses performance.

(# 5) Prima Ballerina - Goes from a stakes to an allowance and cuts back a furlong for good guy Dan Peitz. Should run better with the initial grass experience behind her.
