Top pick: #5 (SPORTSWRITER) - Consistent grey gelding moves back to the turf off a fine series of dirt races this year. He's gone (5-2-1-2) in 2012 and defeated "open" company at Aqueduct on March 15th. More than capable on the grass, he broke his maiden last summer when sprinting on the infield. The horse to beat.

2nd pick: #6 (Goodtime Boy) - He ran a career best last out winning a dirt allowance here and it came first off a Rick Dutrow claim. Gelding missed by a nose here facing "open" $25K claimers on the grass in his previous start and is a player in this stakes.

3rd pick: #4 (Western Tryst) - He ran well last year as a 2-year-old on the grass several times and finished a rallying third on the dirt in his seasonal debut here May 6th. Race was his first in 6 months and should set him up nicely for his return to the grass.

4th pick: #9 (I'll Stake U) - Hard-hitter defeated "Sportswriter" in a dirt stakes here on May 6th and that effort was his best overall in 11 starts. Working well at Monmouth, he ran poorly in his only previous grass race, but is a much better horse now. Don't ignore.
