Top pick: #3 (SAGINAW) - Veteran comes into this in career best form and will be looking for his fifth in a row and 4th since being claimed by Dave Jacobson for $30K on March 8th. He won a state-bred stakes here going a bit farther on April 29th, but defeated a field at least as good as this one. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Uncle T Seven) - Claimed by Rick Dutrow in early March for a hefty sum ($75K) he immediately sent him in for a 7-week freshening. Returned in a state-bred stakes at Aqueduct on April 22nd, he rallied to take a slim lead in late stretch, then was nailed on the wire by today's rival No. 6 "Mine Over Matter". Effort was a career best and a repeat of it makes him very dangerous.
3rd pick: #5 (Law Enforcement) - He's always done his best work on this deep surface (13-3-4-1) and 7-year-old is nearing the half-million dollar mark in earnings. Last out on Feb. 20 he rallied from dead last to win going away in the $75K Hollie Hughes stakes on Aqueduct's inner-surface. He would benefit the most if the pace is fast/and or contested.
