Top pick: #3 (DEVERELL) - The probable favorite didn't show much last out in a race that was switched to the dirt but had gone (5-0-1-4) on the grass in her previous starts. Stalker is in the fine barn of Chris Clement and he's having one of his best year's overall (36 for 142). The top pick in a contentious race.

2nd pick: #10 (Double Berg) - All of the sons and daughters of "Scat Daddy" seem to prefer the grass and this filly raced evenly facing slightly tougher on the Gulfstream infield April 8th. She finished a strong 2nd in her local debut May 4th in a contest that was switched to the main-track and looks set for a big effort.

3rd pick: #9 (Oofybalaboo) - Lasix is added by trainer George Weaver to filly who set a solid & pressured pace before tiring late in a switched contest 25 days ago. She's worked twice at Saratoga since and is a major factor in this spot.

4th pick: #12 (Deputy Jazz) - Lightly raced New York-bred was heavily bet when debuting in a 6 furlong sprint April 11th and raced evenly in a useful first outing. She showed little last out, so trainer Rick Violette mixes things up a bit today. State-bred drops into a claimer against "open" company, moves to the grass, stretches-out in distance, and has blinkers added. Look for a more competitive effort at a very big price.
