Premium Pick

Top pick: #8 (ROSE SALVAJE) - Lightly-raced, talented, and very speedy, this filly by "Chapel Royal" went wire to wire in late March at Gulfstream to beat "open" foes in an entry-level allowance. Training fast for this, she's in an under-rated barn (Lisa Lewis) and is the horse to beat in a contentious finale.

2nd pick: #5 (Awakened Beauty) - Improving with every start, this 4-year-old by "Devil His Due" is two-for-two on this surface and both have come at this distance. Freshened-up by trainer Bruce Brown since winning on May 29th, filly has good early speed and should be involved from start to finish.

3rd pick: #11 (Lady Rizzi) - She's one of two veterans entered by trainer Linda Rice and the pair will race uncoupled. Eight-year-old finished a pace-chasing fourth last out facing males at Monmouth in a small stakes and moves back in with New York-breds today and is back with her own sex. Speed/stalker should be close-up through-out and has a shot at the win end.

4th pick: #10 (Karakorum Elektra) - The second of the Rice pair has raced evenly in her last two starts and they came off of almost an 8 month layoff. Seven of her eight lifetime wins have come on this surface and she races with a price on her head for the first time. Mare is capable, but will be over-bet.
