Top pick: #7 (BAKKEN) (8-5) - Very lightly-raced colt has gone 4-2-1-0 to date and last out just missed here on June 6th in the G2 "True North" stakes. Speed/stalker is nicely spotted for his first in almost four months and he draws a nice post at this distance. The horse to beat.
2nd pick: #6 (Geaux Mets) (12-1) - He's won two in a row and last out won a small sprint stakes at Finger Lakes on Aug. 16. He earned a career best figure that day and can factor at a big price if he holds his form.
3rd pick: #1a (Dream Saturday) (6-1) - Lightly-raced colt has gone 4-2-2-0 on the dirt since coming off a 4 1/2 month layoff in late March. Stalker won an allowance at Saratoga going 7-furlongs on Aug. 16 and must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #5 (Captain Serious) (3-1) - State bred is cutting back in distance after a poor try going 1 1/8th miles at the Spa on Aug. 24. Clearly better sprinting and he's gone 2-1-1-0 here in the past.
