2nd pick: #4 (Free as a Bird) - Recent maiden winner did so in impressive style going 7 furlongs on this course on Sept. 14. Win came second off a two month break, was her first on the turf, and was easily a career best. Home-bred by "Hard Spun" may have a bright future.
3rd pick: #8 (Holiday's Jewel) - Filly raced evenly here going 9 furlongs on Sept. 21 and will be cutting back a bit in distance for this. She's improved since switching to the grass on a regular basis and is a threat at a square price.
