Bet this race at Diamond SportsTop pick: #2 (SPLASHTASTIC) (7-2) - Lightly raced and talented, he's dropping just a bit following a 2nd place finish going a mile at Aqueduct April 23 facing tougher. Strong finisher broke his maiden here at this distance last October and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #7 (Destin) (7-5) - On the sidelines since late August when he tired badly in the rich Travers Stakes (G1) at Saratoga. He missed by a 'nose' in the Belmont Stakes (G1) a year ago and was only beaten by seven lengths in the Kentucky Derby (G1). Training steadily and the likely winner if ready.
3rd pick: #4 (Touchofstarquality) (4-1) - Consistent 7yo hasn't raced since late October. He's won off of layoffs in the past and has a fine local record (8-3-3-1). Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #5 (Awesome Speed) (12-1) - The main speed, he hasn't raced since Nov. 23. Training fast, he'll take them as far as he can, but he's never beaten this type before.
