Effort came off a two month break and was only her third since last fall. Trainer George Weaver has her nicely spotted as he cuts her back in distance and names John Velazquez to ride.
2nd pick: #7 (Forest Crown) - Talented English import finds herself in a great barn (Chad Brown) and he'll run this filly with lasix and Dominguez signed-on. Daughter of "Royal Applause" was competitive in a pair of Group 3 races earlier this year and is a major player against these.
3rd pick: #6 (Connie and Michael) - Daughter of "Roman Ruler" hasn't run since a "troubled" trip last August at Saratoga in the G1 Alabama S. Working fast for her return, and in her lone previous grass effort she finished a close-up third in the G3 Miesque S. at Hollywood Park back in Nov of 2009. Tough call.
