Top pick: #6 (BRILLIANT SPEED) - Home-bred by "Dynaformer" confirmed last out at Saratoga by winning the G3 Saranac S. that the grass is his surface of choice as he's now (6-2-2-2) on it. That last win came at this 9 furlong trip and came in his first turf race since just missing last Feb. at Gulfstream in a $100K stakes. Working fast for this and he's the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #1 (Casino Host) - He's been freshened-up by trainer Chad Brown since an even effort at Arlington Park on Aug. 13 in the G1 Secretariat S. Lightly raced and talented he has a pair of sharp recent local works that suggest he's ready to go. Stretch threat.
3rd pick: #4 (Seal Cove) - He didn't "fire" at Saratoga in the same race as "Speed", but had won his previous three grass attempts and one of those came here on this surface. Strong finisher would benefit from some type of speed duel.
