He saw this half-brother to Grade 1 winner "English Channel" rally from far back after having major problems at the start. He displayed a tremendous final kick and drew clear in the last 1/16th. Barn (Angel Penna Jr.) is great off of this type of layoff ($38%).
2nd pick: #1 (Forest Bell) - Big move forward last out when trainer Todd Pletcher moved him to the grass coming off a seven-month break. He rallied from back in the pack to put in a powerful final 1/4 mile. He should even be sharper in his second back off the long break.
3rd pick: #1a (Echo In Eternity) - Coupled with the top pick, he's a more than capable entry-mate. Tries a longer race after a solid third-place finish in a sprint last out and he was an impressive winner of his debut on the grass.
