Stalker was racing for the first time in eight months and has worked four times since, including a sharp half-mile breeze Sept. 2 at Saratoga. Gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #8 (Dream Passage) (3-1) - Speedy filly set a fast pace and held until the final 1/16th when she weakened to finish a close up fourth racing at this level and distance Aug. 7 at Saratoga. It was her first race since Sept. 11 of 2016 and she's a serious looking rival for 'Wake Island.'
3rd pick: #4 (Elude) (10-1) - Godolphin home bred set the pace in the same last race as Wake Island before weakening to finish only 2.5 lengths in back of that rival. Interesting longshot.
4th pick: #6 (Fashion Week) (7-2) - Blinkers go on filly who rallied to finish two lengths in back of 'Wake Island' while a 1/2 in front of 'Elude.' Working fast, improving filly is a stretch threat.
