Colt trained sharply for his debut at Saratoga Aug. 19 and rallied while wide to finish second going six furlongs. Training steadily since, Irad Ortiz Jr. is back aboard and Chad Brown (29% second time out) stretches him out a furlong.
2nd pick: #8 (St. Augustine) (6-1) - Lasix is added to son of 'Tapit' who raced very wide when finishing fourth here going 6.5 furlongs Sep 16. Well backed that day, trainer Jimmy Jerkens brings him back quickly and colt worked fast Sept. 27.
3rd pick: #2 (Montauk) (3-1) - Debuting colt from the Pletcher barn (22% first out) has some very sharp works on view. Son of 'Medaglia d'Oro' sold for $850,000 this past April and his outside post at this seven furlong distance is a plus.
4th pick: #3 (Triple Dog Dare) (15-1) - Longshot stayed at Belmont during the Saratoga meet and has some fine works on view for his debut. From a capable barn (Rudy Rodriguez) this $270,000 purchase may factor at a very big price.
5th pick: #10 (Personal Time) (12-1) - Home bred by 'Malibu Moon' is another that's making his first start. Originally prepared at the Fair Hill Training Center, colt worked sharply here Sept. 17.
