Premium Pick

Top pick: #8 (TEN PIN PRIDE) - Filly is improving and will face New York-bred claimers for the first time. Last out she raced evenly on Aqueduct lawn facing state-bred special weights and veteran trainer "Ned" Allard wil drop her down, switch her from turf to dirt, and cut her back in distance. Jockey Franklin Boyce comes back from Pimlico for the ride and she can take this from her fine outside post.

2nd pick: #4 (Jillistana) - Speedy filly tired racing on a sloppy surface at Aqueduct April 22nd. She was bumped at the break that day and had to rush up to contest the pace. She'd finished second in her previous pair and is a win candidate.

3rd pick: #1 (Smarty Aya) - Daughter of "Smarty Jones" is part of a Gary Contessa trained entry and only one will go with Ramon Dominguez named on both halves. She has some ability and can factor from her ground saving rail post.
