2nd pick: #4 (Mentality) (2-1) - Very fast from the gate, she's shortening back up in distance after tiring Oct. 11 at Keeneland going 8.5 furlongs in a G3 stakes. All three of her starts have been against 'open' company and she's a strong factor today in her first facing fellow New York breds.
3rd pick: #1 (Coddington) (5-2) - Another cutting back in distance, she enters of an even effort here going 8.5 furlongs facing 'open' company in the Miss Grillo Stakes (G3) Oct. 1. Very sharp in three straight prior to that and one-run type breaks from a ground-saving post. Stretch threat.
4th pick: #2 (Trouble for Skylar) (10-1) - Freshened up since Aug. 25, she tired badly that day on the Saratoga dirt. She had broken her maiden there in impressive style July 26 and $225K purchase is racing on the grass for the first time.
