Top pick: #4 (MR SPEAKER) (9-5) - Talented colt raced evenly in his grass debut in late August at Saratoga and has gone 4-2-1-1 on the lawn since then. He just missed two back at Gulfstream to today's rival "Gala Award" in a G3 stakes, then was a very impressive winner last out on the Keeneland "poly" in the "Lexington" stakes (G3). Working nicely, and he's the only one entered with a local grass win.
2nd pick: #2 (Gala Award) (8-5) - He enters off an even effort from a very difficult post (14th of 14) on Keeneland's "poly" in the "Bluegrass" stakes (G1) April 12. Clearly better on the grass (3-2-1-0), he has more speed than most, and is a strong win candidate.
3rd pick: #1 (Flamboyant) (3-1) - French import ships from Santa Anita where he won a small turf stakes on April 19. It was his first start in North America and ran his overall record to 7-3-2-2. Working well before heading here and must be left in the mix.
