Premium Pick

Top pick: #8 (BAY PARK BOY) - He's won two of three starts including a $126K stakes at Finger Lakes in early Sept. Latest saw him finish third there in the $260,000 New York Breeders' Futurity and this home-bred by "Johannesburg" has yet to catch a fast track in his three outings. The top selection.

2nd pick: #4 (Jaw Crusher) - He's still a maiden, but ran well enough to win in either start at Saratoga and last out he raced evenly on a sloppy track at Finger Lakes. Has a sharp work here five days ago and should offer a nice price in the same race bets.

3rd pick: #1a (Night Maneuver) - He's part of a mighty four-horse entry from the Flying Zee Stable, so there's really no need write-up any but one as you get all four in the same bet. This gelding by "Orientate" is two-for-two and looked really sharp when winning here on Oct. 5. Can stalk and pounce and the pace here should be fast.

4th pick: #2 (Swag Daddy) - He's the only horse entered who has a win here at this often tricky 7 furlong distance. From the first crop of "Scat Daddy" he's improving, is in the barn of Rick Dutrow, and has been bet heavily in all three starts. Can factor this afternoon.
