Premium Pick

Top pick: #4 (SOUTHERN EXCHANGE) - He finished an even fifth of eight beaten 2 1/2 lengths last out going 6 furlongs on the turf facing tougher. Race was his first in two months and he's turned around quickly (11 days) for this by the dangerous barn of Rick Dutrow. Drops to a career soft spot and he's the horse to beat.

2nd pick: #1a (Prince Woodman ) - He's part of a Dave Jacobson-trained entry and only one will go. This veteran gelding has always been a solid performer on the turf and he brings good speed/stalking ability to the contest. Level and distane are fine and he's a win candidate.

3rd pick: #3 (Perfect Casting ) - He raced evenly last out facing tougher and it was only his second start since Nov. 13. Loves the course (7-3-1-2) and probable favorite has never raced at this low a level before. Win candidate but at a short price.
