2nd pick: #7 (Givetheman a Cigar) (5-1) - He exits the same Aug. 13 as 'Dwizard' and was also making his debut. Gelding rallied mildly to check in 4th, almost three lengths in back of that rival. Trainer Steve Klesaris has won with four of 11 (36%) maidens making their second start over the past 20 months, and Irad Ortiz, Jr. stays aboard.
3rd pick: #2 (Devilry) (4-1) - Colt was never involved following a poor start when debuting in the same last race as both 'Dwizard' and 'Givetheman a Cigar.' He received some betting action and is from a 20% second out barn (Kiaran McLaughlin).
4th pick: #3 (Zonic) (3-1) - Colt skipped the Saratoga meet and runs today for the first time since July 15. Stretch runner finished a close up 3rd here at this level and distance June 18 and is dangerous if the pace is fast and/or contested.
