Premium Pick

Top pick: #7 (WOKE UP TIRED) (8-5) - New York-bred cost a whopping $400K and trainer Dom Schettino has had him working steadily since early July. Several of the AM moves are on the quick side and son of "Bernardini" meets a weak looking field.

2nd pick: #6 (Bluegrass Flash) (2-1) - Heavily bet in both grass starts, grey colt just missed when debuting at Saratoga on Aug. 8, then raced evenly and wide following a troubled break at the Spa on Aug. 28. Freshened up since then, trainer Chris Clement moves him to the dirt and shortens him up in distance.

3rd pick: #1 (Samraat) (4-1) - Debuting home-bred draws the rail, is working fast, and trainer Rick Violette Jr. is having a strong meet. Colt by "Noble Causeway" can factor with an alert break.

4th pick: #5 (Campion Lane) (15-1) - Longshot was never involved following a trouble start when debuting here on Sept. 29. He's worked twice since, including a bullet 3-furlongs on Sept. 10.
