Top pick: #5 (SOINLUVWITHUIAM) - Filly is clearly better on the turf as she displayed last year in two starts on both grass and the real thing. She hasn't run since early Nov. but trainer Linda rice wins at a 20% rate off of long breaks and this 3-year-old is working fine. The top selection.

2nd pick: #3 (Awakened Beauty) - Another who's been away awhile and when last seen she was finishing a close-up third at saratoga in a contest where she was probably best, as she had a poor start and raced wide. Triner Bruce Brown is 24% off of extended absences and this filly is an obvious threat.

3rd pick: #1 (Bazinga) - Grey filly was claimed out of her debut for $50,000 going from the Rice barn to that of Steve Asmussen. New trainer has freshened her up for 7 weeks and will move her up in class, remove her blinkers, and send her from dirt to turf. Dominguez is aboard, and he wins at a 35% rate when riding for Asmussen.
