The effort was complimented when the second-place finisher won easily at the 'Spa' last Sunday. Gelding by 'Freud' is lightly-raced, still improving, and he should love this 7-furlong distance.
2nd pick: #8 (Payment Terms) (3-1) - Another that's lightly-raced, he raced evenly while 'rank' going a mile at Saratoga in a $100K stakes Aug 10. He broke his maiden on this course in his previous start and is a stretch threat in today's finale.
3rd pick: #7 (Banana Thief) (8-1) - Stalker has finished within range in all four starts at this level since coming back from a 9-month layoff in June. He should like this distance and it's noted that Castellano is aboard for the first time.
4th pick: #2 (Pegasus Red) (8-1) - Stalker enters off a pair of third-place finishes at this level. His latest was at Saratoga and he did so here at this distance June 25. Fits with his best.
5th pick: #9 (Stardom) (6-1) - Stalker has been competitive in all four starts, including three on the grass. Freshened up since July 19, he must be left in the mix.
