Top pick: #4 (A MARKED MAN) (5-2) - He rallied while wide to check in third of 12, beaten 4 1/2 lengths racing here at this level and distance May 2. It was his first start since late October when he finished second here before going in for almost a 6 1/2 month break. He probably needed the race and should move forward off of it.

2nd pick: #5 (Andrew's Got Zip) (3-1) - Speedy sort was scratched here the other day to await this spot. Three-year-old by 'City Zip' tired after setting a quick and pressured pace facing tougher at this distance May 8th. Encouraging effort was his first ever on the grass. Trainer Rich Schosberg is dropping him into a claimer for the first time and gelding should be involved every step.

3rd pick: #9 (El Viejo Verde) (9-2) - Another with early speed, he enters off a career best May 2nd. Racing on the grass for the first time, he set a quick pace and held gamely to finish second, 3 1/2 lengths in front of 'Marked Man.' Must be left in the three-horse win mix.

4th pick: #3 (Chip Chip) (15-1) - Long shot was never involved in the same last race as both 'A Marked Man' and 'El Viejo Verde.' He stumbled and was bumped heavily coming out of the gate and the effort is best viewed as a toss. He's worked fast since and may grab a share at a big price.
