Ball State at Notre Dame

This is the sixth road game in nine contests for Ball State. The offense hasn't done well when stepping up in competition, shooting 29.9% at Oklahoma and 37.5% at Oregon. They are riding a three-game win streak but this is an impossible task in stepping up to play Notre Dame on the road. Ball State is 9-1 UNDER the total after two straight games where they made 50% or more of their shots. Notre Dame is a fierce defensive team for coach Mike Brey. The Fighting Irish slid four spots in the rankings after losing by 18 points to Michigan State, but regrouped with a dominant defensive effort in a 71-53 win over St. Francis on Sunday. The 53 points allowed matched a season low and marked the fourth time Notre Dame has allowed fewer than 60 points this season.
