LOSS

The Cardinals have two wins from Adam Wainwright, none from Chris Carpenter. Albert Pujols is not here anymore, and 19 of the first 31 have been played on the road. What looked to be a recipe for disaster has been anything but, as the Cards are 20-11, tied with the Dodgers for the best mark in the NL. The Braves have been mostly good, but Mike Minor has not as he has an ERA close to 6, and has allowed 6 runs or more in half of his starts. Jaime Garcia has been a lot more consistent and reliable as he has allowed more than 3 runs just three times in his last 16 starts for the St. Louis. The Braves may be winning the games they are supposed to, but not the ones they aren't as they are a woeful 3-13 in their last 16 as a road dog. Garcia has pitched the Cardinals to a 20-6 mark in his last 26 starts vs. a winning team. Play on St. Louis.
