There certainly have not been many starters who have put together the home favorite numbers that Colorado starter, Jorge DeLaRosa has. The Rockies own a 48-19 record when he takes the mound in this role in his last 67 starts. The problem is he has certainly not earned the fabulous numbers he has achieved, as he has allowed 4.7 runs a game in the 67 contests, and at the same time three of those 19 losses have come in his last five starts. While the numbers are gaudy, the pitching log certainly doesn't justify them, and the value is now on the otherside here. The Braves have now won five of their last seven against a mediocre pitcher, with a WHIP greater than 1.30, and are just too big of a dog in this one, with a good chance to come away with a win. Make the play on Atlanta. The fact that DeLaRosa has seen his 67 starts as mentioned above see OVER 11 runs a game scored, and Atlanta having gone 11-4-2 to the OVER in their last 17 to a total from 9-10.5, and home plate umpire Emmel's track record of just nine games played under the total in his last 41 behind the plate opens the door for some scoring here. Make the play on the OVER as well.
