Arkansas State at Nebraska

Arkansas State allowed only 21 points per game in 2016 while scoring 27 points per game and the Red Wolves finished 10-2-1 UNDER, including 5-0-1 UNDER their last six games. Also, Arkansas State has stayed UNDER its last five road contests and it its 29-11-1 UNDER its last 41 non-conference games. Coach Blake Anderson has stuck around for four seasons now, which is unusual as most of the school's previous coaches have left after one or two successful seasons. The Red Wolves return defensive end Ja'Von Rolland-Jones, who was the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and is the conference's all-time sacks leader. Justin Hansen returns at quarterback and he threw for 2,719 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2016, but he could have a more difficult time this season as the Red Wolves lost all their starters from the offensive line. Nebraska will start Tanner Lee at quarterback, which is an unsettled position for the Cornhuskers. Lee made 19 starts at Tulane before transferring to Nebraska. The Huskers must replace Terrell Newby, who totaled 879 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns last year and was only the eighth running back in school history to surpass 50 career receptions.
