Arizona at Atlanta

John Smoltz comes off a horrible performance. Doesn't happen often and I look for him to rebound strong. He was hammered for 10 hits and eight runs against the Cubs on Friday. That was an anomoly as still owns a 3.58 ERA overall even with those numbers factored in. In four home starts, he's 2-1 with a 2.23 ERA going an incredible 8.1 innings on average per start. Smoltz wins the games he is supposed to as he is 37-7 as a big favorite of -175 to -250 over hte past decade. Facing him is Enrique Gonzalez making just his second major league start. Atlanta does very well against right handed starters scoring 5.4 per game. We'll take the solid offense with the great pitcher on a mission here.
