Gelding tired when facing tougher in his local debut Oct. 20 at Belmont. Barn drops him down, removes his blinkers, and Irad Ortiz Jr. is back on the re-ride.
2nd pick: #6 (Salt It Here) (12-1) - One of two making their debuts, he's bred for speed and has some very quick works showing. He meets a weak field for this level and is a threat at a big price if he runs back to his a.m. breezes.
3rd pick: #4 (Flux Capacitor) (7-2) - Stretch runner drops following a pair of close up fourth place finishes facing better. In a Finger Lakes based barn (Sal Iorio Jr.) he has Jose Ortiz signed on and hat means they like this one's chance.
4th pick: #1 (Irish Marauder) (4-1) - Lasix is added to gelding who moves from turf to dirt, shortens up in distance, and takes a big drop in class. He hasn't shown much in either pair, but they were against much better quality opposition.
