2nd pick: #3 (Velvet Trinni) (3-1) - The main speed, filly is taking the big drop into claimers for the first time. Daughter of the fleet 'Trinniberg' is racing 2nd back from a 2.5 month layoff and is a strong win candidate to take this field from gate to wire.
3rd pick: #7 (Forever Dreams) (7-2) - Another dropping into a claimer, she tired after rushing up following a troubled break here Nov 18 facing tougher. Another daughter of 'Trinniberg', it's noted that the very selective Joe Bravo is aboard for the first time.
4th pick: #1 (Very Charming) (20-1) - Big longshot is yet another dropping into a claimer for this assignment. Filly sold for $100,000 as a Saratoga yearling back in August of 2016 and has some nice works and is breaking from the rail.
5th pick: #2 (Flatliner) (12-1) - Purchased for $75,000 this past May as a 2yo in training, she's shown little in a pair of starts, one each on dirt and turf facing tougher. Good barn (Brian Lynch) drops her down and she should show whatever talent she has against this field.
