Top pick: #2 (ALEANDER) (5-2) - Son of "Smart Strike" is another that was purchased from the Bob Baffert barn by Dave Jacobson. Colt rallied from far back to finish third here when facing Special Weights on Nov. 27 in his first for the new connections. Three-year-old was "bumped" at the break that day but probably needed the start anyway. Drops for this and gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #1 (Marble Falls) (2-1) - He exits the same last race as "Aleander" and was involved in the pace before weakening late. Speedy sort draws the rail and son of "Giant's Causeway" is dropping into a claimer for the first time. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (On the Curve) (4-1) - Stalker is lightly-raced and enters off a pair of back-to-back second-place finishes at this tag and trip. The latest of that pair earned him a career best figure that fits with these and he must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #5 (Qui C'est Moi) (7-2) - Speedy gelding comes off a career best when he finished a pace-setting second here for a $20K tag Nov. 21. It was his second back from a five month break and first off a positive trainer change to Abby Adsit following a claim.
