Montreal lost 2-1 to the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, but Jake Allen filled in admirably for Carey Price and the Canadiens look to bounce back tonight against Buffalo, which hasn't made the playoffs in 10 seasons and are still dealing with the Jack Eichel situation meaning he won't be on the ice. Sam Montembeault was claimed off waivers from the Florida Panthers two weeks ago and may get the start tonight for the Canadiens. He posted a record of 8-4-1 with a 2.86 goals-against average in 13 games with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch in 2020-21. The Sabres lost six of their final eight games last season and they are 7-20 their past 27 games as home underdogs, 13-45 as underdogs overall. Craig Anderson looks to have beaten out Dustin Tokarski for the starting goalie job for now for Buffalo. Take the Canadiens.
