Detroit is showing signs that its rebuilding plan is paying off as the Red Wings have split their first two games although they do come off a 3-0 loss to Calgary on Thursday with Alex Nedeljkovic in net. Thomas Greiss should be back tonight and he is 2-0-0 with a .969 save percentage as he looks to improve from a hard-luck 2020-21 season. Montreal has yet to win a game and dearly misses Carey Price, who is out indefinitely. The Canadiens have been outscored 19-4 in their five games, including a 4-1 loss to Carolina on Thursday when Jake Allen suffered his fourth loss. Detroit has won the last four meetings.
