In one of the most underrated games of the 2011 season, the TCU Horned Frogs will visit the Baylor Bears on a Friday night in Waco in what is to be great college football picks. TCU has made a habit of playing difficult competition, heading to venues like Clemson over the past couple of years. This time, they will tackle a difficult challenge in a Baylor team that returns a nice portion of its offense.
Baylor is led by Robert Griffin III, an athletic quarterback who is often asked to outrun the offensive line’s deficiency. Likewise, the Bears boast an ample running game. On offense, they shouldn’t run into too many problems scoring points.
The problem for Baylor is that the TCU defense should be very good once again. Though they are forced to replace a number of different starters on defense, TCU has been known to reload over the years. With head coach Gary Patterson at the helm, they have been one of the most impressive defensive teams in the country over the last four seasons.
TCU might struggle to score points, having replaced its NFL-bound quarterback and its best receiver. Still, the offense is hard to defend and TCU should have enough to win this Texas battle.
