Miami Heat at Oklahoma City Thunder Sun. Jan. 30, 2011 1 p.m. EST
Despite all the critics and all the negative press that the Miami Heat at gotten this season for making a super team with Lebron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade leading the way, this team is lived up to the hype and could be headed for the NBA Finals at season’s end.
The peak of this season for the Miami Heat was when they were able to get the best of the two-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day, but things only get tougher from here on out even though they will be favored in NBA picks in pretty much every game they play.
One of the toughest challenges will come this Sunday afternoon when they face off against the NBA’s leading scorer Kevin Durant and the up-and-coming Oklahoma City Thunder.
Miami Heat may be arguably the most talented team in the NBA three the league’s biggest superstars, but that won’t matter to the Oklahoma City Thunder who are as talented as they come thinking just run other teams out of the building with point guard Russell Westbrook control in the offense.
In the end, the Heat will most likely come out on top, but the Thunder might feel give them a run for their money in what will almost certainly be a very entertaining matchup.

Boston Celtics vs Los Angeles Lakers Sunday NBA Picks & Predictions
Boston Celtics at Los Angeles Lakers Sun. Jan. 30, 2011 3:30 p.m. EST
One of the most heated rivalries in professional sports in this country is without a doubt when Kobe Bryant and two-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers go up against Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics.
Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees are probably the biggest rivalry in this country in terms of professional sports, but when the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers go head to head these days they can be a pretty physical contest as these teams do not like each other.
Coming into this matchup, despite being played on the Los Angeles Lakers home floor of the Staples center, the Boston Celtics will probably be favored in NBA picks. This may come as a surprise to some people as the Los Angeles Lakers are still one most dominant teams in league, but the Boston Celtics are as good as he gets this season and playing at an extremely high level right now.
So even though this game will almost certainly be a hard-fought battle from start to finish, I believe Kevin Garnett and company will come out on top and have the last laugh this Sunday in Los Angeles.
Kobe Bryant might put up a valiant effort in which he scores 40 points and possibly more, but in the end the Celtics are the better team as of right now.

New Orleans Hornets at Phoenix Suns Sun. Jan. 30, 2011 8 p.m. EST
The New Orleans Hornets and the Phoenix Suns have been two teams in the Western Conference that if kind of gone up and down over the past couple of seasons. There’s no question that there’s a lot of talent both of these basketball teams as they are led by two of the best point guards in the league in Steve Nash and Chris Paul, but with so much competition in the West and in the East these days they have struggled to stay amongst the best teams in league.
Coming into their matchup on Sunday, the Suns have somewhat picked up their game and have gotten back into playoff contention seemingly, but the Hornets are just as good if not better than Phoenix as Chris Paul has become an All-Star once again.
The NBA picks will almost certainly tilt in New Orleans Hornets favor in this game and I believe that is right on the money as the Phoenix Suns might struggle with the likes of David West in the paint.
Obviously, the key matchups year is between Nash and Paul as whichever incredibly talented point guard comes out on top will almost certainly be on the winning team.

Atlanta Hawks vs Dallas Mavericks Saturday Saturday NBA Picks
Atlanta Hawks at Dallas Mavericks Sat. Jan. 29, 2011 8:30 p.m. EST
The Atlanta Hawks and the Dallas Mavericks are two teams in the NBA played extremely well over the past few seasons. Even though they have been amongst the best teams in the Eastern and Western conferences every single season, they do struggle in the playoffs and never seemed to reach their ultimate goal.
Coming into this NBA regular season, the Mavs and the Hawks have both been favored in NBA picks throughout the majority of their matchups, but coming into this game, Dallas has the edge in my opinion.
The Atlanta Hawks have multiple threats on both sides of the basketball floor with the likes of Joe Johnson, Josh Smith and Al Horford, but I believe Dirk Nowitzki and company will come out on top in this won as they will be playing on their home floor and seem to have gotten back to form with a healthy Dirk leading the way.
This may be a close game in the first half, but the second half the Dallas Mavericks should pull away and cruise to victory against an inferior Atlanta Hawks squad.

Sacramento Kings at Los Angeles Lakers Fri. Jan. 28, 2011 10:30 p.m. EST
The two-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers are still amongst the best in the NBA this season, but the competition is deftly done better as teams in both the West and the East continue to improve.
The matchup that the Los Angeles Lakers will be circling on their schedule for the rest the month will be against the Boston Celtics on January 30, but they will first have to face off against the division rival Sacramento Kings on Friday night where they will almost certainly be favored in NBA picks.
The Kings still have a talented squad with reigning rookie of the year point guard Tyreke Evans leading the way and promising young big man DeMarcus Cousins in the paint, but they are amongst the worst teams in the league this season once again and will still have a few years of rebuilding ahead of them in order to compete with the best of the best in the Western Conference.
This game should be a blowout with Kobe Bryant and company just dominating the Sacramento Kings, but with this game being a pretty heated rivalry at times, anything can happen.

A place where few win college basketball picks
If you are looking for a couple of home courts where almost no one wins in college basketball, then you need to start with Pittsburgh. The Peterson Event Center is home to the Panthers and a rowdy bunch of students that deems itself “The Oakland Zoo”. That name is fitting and college basketball bettors need to take notice when making college basketball picks. Pitt is a place where few road teams win and more aptly, few road teams cover. The team and the venue seem to be chronically underrated, so you would be wise to take notice.
Why is this the best home court advantage in college hoops? It is about more than just the fans. As any college basketball bettor knows when betting NCAA picks, home court advantage has a lot to do with comfort level of the home team. Do they like shooting in the gym? Do they play with better energy there? Pitt seems very content blowing people out at home, so you should be content looking to Pitt for big home winners. Few teams go in there and stay competitive, and Pitt has beaten even the top teams in the country on its home floor. Keep this in mind as you make your bets.
