Winnipeg just finished up a brutal seven-game road trip and has had a day of rest before playing this one at home. They are 2-1 in their last three home games, allowing a total of 6 goals. That road trip was very impressive as they finished 3-2-2. Czech netminder Ondrej Pavelec has been outstanding between the pipes. He lost a 1-0 game in Tampa, shut out the Islanders 3-0 and even in the 6-5 loss to Buffalo on Tuesday he made a handful of saves that kept his squad in a game the Sabres could have easily reached double digits. The Jets are 6-2 in their last eight home games against a team with a road winning percentage of greater than .600, and they play a Florida team that has a winning record, but can be suspect away from home. They have a weak penalty-killing unit and the Panthers are 16-37 in their last 53 overall and 5-12 in their last 17 road games. The Panthers are 7-16 in the last 23 meetings in Winnipeg and 1-4 in the last five meetings. Play on Winnipeg.
