SARATOGA Race #5 at 3:00 PM Eastern

Top pick: #7 (THUNDEROUS G) - Gelding by "Thunder Gulch" ships back from Indiana Downs where he finished an even third facing special weights on June 20th. He'd been competitive in his previous pair at Churchill and the barn drops him into a career soft spot this afternoon.

2nd pick: #5 (Rangey) - Speedy sort has finished second in three straight at this price downstate and goes first off a John Parisella claim. Race came up "light" on speed and he should be involved from start to finish.

3rd pick: #11 (Current Design) - Drops into a claimer for the first time and will be racing second off a two month layoff. He finished third at Belmont Park facing tougher June 9th and is working sharply for this attempt. Strong rider/trainer combo of Dominguez/Chad Brown has this son of "Tiznow" in a spot where he's a win candidate.

4th pick: #8 (Hardrocker) - He's finished second in 5-of-13 appearances and comes off a strong second-place finish at Belmont to "Adios Nardo", who returned to win another yesterday.
