Betting Horse Line Racing - July 15, 2012A reminder, that this coming Friday (July 20th) Saratoga will open it's 40 day session that is filled with Grade 1 stakes, the best horses, jockeys, trainers, and top quality racing every single day. Following it's four day opening weekend, it will be open six days a week for six weeks with the final card being staged on Labor Day(Sep 3rd). This is the final card at Belmont until it re-opens on Friday Sep 7th. There will be no racing in New York after today's tenth race at Belmont until the 1st race at the Spa at 1:00 pm on Friday. Today, we have two races apiece from both Belmont and Monmouth Park. Saturday's East Coast Results: Today is the final day of racing at Betfair Hollywood Park's spring/summer meet with the action in So. California shifting down the coast to Del Mar on Wednesday. Saturday's West Coast Results:  Today's Picks: Top pick: #5 (TAHIMA) - Sent here from Belmont on June 24th she finished a close-up 2nd racing at this price for the first time. Owned by longtime trainer Stanley Hough, that last effort came off a trainer change to Ed Plesa Jr. and this daughter of "Indian Charlie" is the horse to beat. 2nd pick: #4 (Baltimore Tiara) - She's raced evenly in all four outings and has done so facing better on both turf and dirt. Trainer Mike Trombetta has freshened her up since May 31st and will cut her price in half and switch her from turf to the main track. 3rd pick: #2 (Bridle Step) - Stretch-out sprinter improved a bit in her 2nd start and trainer Pat McBurney appears to be racing her into shape. Filly can grab a small share with another step forward. 4th pick: #6 (Northern Delight) - Well-bred filly "hesitated" at the start when debuting in a two-turn turf contest at Colonia Downs Hune 16th. Trainer Jose Corrales drops her into a claimer and moves her from turf to dirt for her 2nd apparance. BETFAIR HOLLYWOOD PARK Race #3 at 5:00 PM Eastern Top pick: #4 (DHAAMER) - Irish-bred gelding was an impressive winner of the $72K Round Table stakes on this course at this distance May 13th in what was the best overall in his 13 start career. Working fine since and he'll be very tough if he repeats that effort. 2nd pick: #3 (Juniper Pass) - Solid performer ran well to finish 4th here in the (G1) Whittingham going 10 furlongs June 9th and will have blinkers added today for the first time since Feb of 2011. Strong factor with a repeat of his latest "figure". 3rd pick: #2 (Quaintly) - Filly finished a game 2nd to Dhaamer on May 13th and followed that up with a close-up 3rd place finish in the (G3) Beverly Hills Stakes here June 24th when facing her own sex. She has dangerous early speed and has a shot with her best.
